Syrah

Syrah made in the Rhône style, co-harvested with Viognier from 40-year-old vines in Badacsonylábdihegy. Deep purple core leading to a shaded purple rim. Intense dark fruits and spices lead the first nose—ripe blackcurrant dark cherries blueberries with licorice, juniper, and cocoa bean. Despite the young age, it already shows complexity: Violet, lavender and delicate herbal notes of eucalyptus. The palate is dense and structural with a medium body, ripe tannins, and high acidity. Oak is more detectable on the palate with cinnamon and delicate nutmeg spices but does not overtake the fruit and varietal character of the grape. Moderate finish with great potential for aging.
