Kéknyelű 2022
7 000 Ft
Kéknyelű from the slopes of Badacsony Hill, grown on basalt soil. Its discreetly opening aroma is distinctly marked by pear and tropical fruits— like pineapple—which often define the varietal character. A concentrated, full-bodied sip reveals lychee, white-fleshed stone fruits, peach kernel, and a hint of tea-like notes. Rounded acidity, with a trace—leaning toward bone-dry—of residual sugar, and warming alcohol. The finish is flinty and salty, with white-fleshed grapefruit; aging potential: 5–10 years.
Description

Vintage
A warm and dry vintage that turned distinctly rainy after August 20—fortunately, neither the lack of rain earlier nor the late-season precipitation negatively impacted the structure of the wines. Kéknyelű, being a poor sugar accumulator, remained on the vine for a long time during the rainy period, which led to the appearance of botrytized grapes—this has left a mark on the wine’s aromatic character. Due to the delayed harvest, the alcohol level ended up somewhat higher than in other vintages; this, combined with the fine acidity, gives the wine excellent aging potential.
